Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MZR Transportation LLC ("Truckers Beam," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Truckers Beam application and website (the "Service"). Truckers Beam is a tool that helps owner-operator truck drivers evaluate loads, communicate with brokers, organize documents, and track their business. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account information — such as your name, email address, phone number, carrier or business name, and authority details (for example MC and DOT numbers) when you create an account or set up your profile.
- Load and business data — rates, miles, lanes, stops, equipment, cost settings, fixed expenses, and other figures you enter or that we extract from documents you provide.
- Documents you upload — rate confirmations, proofs of delivery, invoices, insurance and compliance documents, and similar files. These documents may contain information about third parties, such as brokers (company names, contacts, and rates).
- Communications — messages you send us for support or feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — basic information such as device type, browser, app activity, and log data used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — limited cookies or local storage needed to keep you signed in and to run the Service. We do not use the Service to build advertising profiles.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including reading the loads and documents you submit and producing estimates, audits, drafts, and records.
- To process documents using artificial intelligence (see Section 3).
- To save your records so you can find them later.
- To improve, troubleshoot, and secure the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. Artificial Intelligence Processing
Truckers Beam uses third-party artificial intelligence services (for example, Google's Gemini models) to read documents and load details you submit and to generate estimates, audits, and draft messages. To do this, the content you submit may be transmitted to and processed by that AI provider on our behalf. We use providers that act as our service providers and are not permitted to use your content to train their own models beyond what is needed to provide the service, to the extent their terms allow. Please avoid uploading information you do not want processed in this way. AI outputs are estimates and may be wrong — always review them before you rely on them.
4. Automated Assessments
The Service produces automated assessments of loads (for example, a "Good," "Marginal," or "Pass" verdict and profit estimates) to assist your decision-making. These are informational tools only. You remain in control and make the final decision on every load. The Service does not make legally or similarly significant decisions about you on a solely automated basis. Where state law gives you rights regarding profiling or automated decision-making, you may contact us as described in Section 11.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers (subprocessors) — companies that help us run the Service under contract, such as our database and backend provider (Supabase), our hosting provider (Netlify), and our AI provider (Google). They may process your information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With your direction — for example, when you choose to send an email to a broker through the Service.
6. Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may create aggregated and de-identified information from the data in the Service — for example, blended market statistics about what lanes pay, based on many loads combined together. This information is stripped of names, contact details, carrier and broker identities, authority numbers, and anything that could reasonably identify a specific person, carrier, or broker, and it is aggregated across enough records that no individual load or party can be singled out.
We may use, share, or sell this aggregated, de-identified information to provide market insights. We do not currently operate a paid data product. If we decide to offer one, we will update this Policy and provide notice before doing so. We will maintain and use de-identified information in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it, except as permitted by law to test our de-identification.
7. Third-Party Information in Your Documents
Documents you upload may include information about brokers and other third parties. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload them. We use that information only to provide the Service to you and, where used for market insights, only in aggregated, de-identified form as described in Section 6.
8. Data Storage, Security, and Location
Your data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase) on infrastructure located in the United States. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information at any time by contacting us. Aggregated, de-identified information that no longer identifies you may be retained.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for commercial drivers and is not directed to anyone under 18, and not to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, U.S. state privacy laws (such as California's CCPA/CPRA and the comprehensive laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, and other states) may give you rights to:
- Access or get a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Obtain a portable copy of your information;
- Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising and certain profiling.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Some of these laws apply only to businesses above certain size or revenue thresholds, which we may not meet; even so, we aim to honor reasonable requests. To exercise a right, email us at hello@truckersbeam.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. You may also designate an authorized agent, and you will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Where applicable, we honor recognized universal opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control).
California "Shine the Light" / Do Not Sell or Share: We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service and the law change. If we make material changes — including before we begin any paid use of aggregated data — we will post the updated Policy here and update the date above, and provide additional notice where required.
13. Google User Data and Gmail Access
If you choose to connect your Google account to use the broker email feature, Truckers Beam accesses your Gmail through Google's official OAuth sign-in and the Gmail API, only with your permission. Specifically:
- What we access. — With your consent, we access only the email threads that you start or continue with brokers through the Service. We use this access to send broker emails from your own Gmail account on your behalf and to display those broker conversations under the matching load inside the app. We do not read, scan, or index your wider inbox.
- What we store. — We store a synced copy of those broker load conversations, including sender, recipient, subject, date, and message body, in our backend so they appear under the right load. Your Google authorization tokens are stored securely on our servers, never in your browser.
- How we use it. — We use this Google data only to provide the broker email feature to you. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide this feature, such as to Google to send your message, or as required by law.
- Disconnecting. — You can disconnect your Google account or delete your account at any time, which revokes Truckers Beam's access and deletes the stored Google authorization.
Limited Use. Truckers Beam's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence models, and we do not allow humans to read this data except with your consent for support, to comply with law, or as necessary for security.
